Amid the music crowed of Amman… capturing Dum Tak Festival at it’s cutest!
A photo-spread for article: Is Music The Remedy?

An invitation to a an engagement party invokes more trouble than a summons to a police court! In the Arab world, a wedding/engagement is usually a wedding for the couple’s families, and not the couple’s! And among a happening party, a couple have fled their soiree, leaving both families waiting for them on the dance floor! Young, spirited and attractive, the couple have the wedding jitters and are nervous of entering adulthood! Dealing with their wedding anxieties and forced traditions, they simply break the rules! Now, caught up at a music festival far from the city, joining the music-adoring crowds and enjoying their well-spent time at Dum Tak Festival! My.Kali follows an album in the making.

“We parked our ambulance at Dum Tak Festival as a canvas for everyone to express themselves on. It was awesome.”

“The grounds of the festival provided a very nice atmosphere: an open space surrounded by trees with stands set up for refreshments and t-shirts. I enjoyed Autostrad’s set, and I’m looking forward to heading back for a couple more performances in the next few days.”

“The Bisharat Gulf Club was chosen as Dum Tak’s venue since it will be able to offer many qualities that were not presented to the Jordanian society before; we wanted to give the artists and audience the chance to experience the qualities and atmosphere of a real live concert in field, something that is rare to find in Jordan.”

History becomes them: 15 bands, 5 nights, endless talent! The first Arabic alternative music festival was held at the Bisharat Golf Club in city Amman. The first open-field concert festival, Dum Tak brought together an eclectic mix of bands from around the Middle East to perform a wide variety of alternative rock and hip-hop for eager concert goers of all ages.
