We’ve all had those days where we just want to stay home, and as men, we all love our birthday suit around the house, but the metro lifestyle that most of us lead is a bit tough to pull off in the nudes. “We live in a moment when fashion is borderline entertainment,” Designer Damir Doma said about his Automn/Winter 14′ men’s collection. “I wanted to do an earnest and very direct collection. Things I want to wear, and you want to wear.” But how to get the comfy-chic look on your day off? We give you our ultimate guide of in-house, chic comfort.

1. Loafers are a guy’s best friend:

The loafer spectrum is very wide, from high-end and pricey ones to the everyday UGG loafers that are warm and cozy, and what’s beautiful about loafers and fashion is that they always go hand in hand; wear your choice of loafers with a washed and fitted denim and savor your morning coffee in style and ease.

2. Cardigans are forever:

Display a durable interest in some experimenting this season when wearing your favorite cardigan. Wear it today, by contrast, as designer Damir Doma said, “There are no tricks with styling.”. Commercial viability and artistic integrity aren’t mutually exclusive. However, we believe they could nicely hand in hand. As men have been blessed with natural musk, so wearing your pijama basic during the day after is not such a big deal, pull out that old cardigan, and give the shapeless basic a street smart look while lingering lingering home.

3. A dress shirts can be quite continental:

As long as there is no tie involved, a shirt is just about as comfortable as it gets, not to mention the shoulder-lifting, crazy-sexy look they give, so wear them shirts indoor, and if indoor is your plan for the day, get a bit naughty and don’t iron them. Make like Givenchy (picture down) this season, and combine dark romanticism and street wear elements for in-home comfort elegance, as it was a casual new take on tailoring for the designer this season – trousers looser, puddling at the ankle; jackets elongated, coat-length to create a new suit—and an abstract approach to graphics.

4. Sweatpants are grand:

Rumor has it that sweatshirts and sweatpants are this season’s high-fashion essential. Sweatpants need no introduction, combining  comfort with high quality fabrics, clothing companies such as Aeropostle are creating the ultimate all day long pants, invest in good quality and neutral colors, and be amazed by how loosely comfortable your days will be.

Also, David Beckham is introducing sone key lounge and nightwear pieces to his Bodywear range at H&M, perfect for wearing all winter long. A hoodie and drawstring pyjama bottoms made from grey Merino wool for a cozy and luxury feel. Also make sure to stay alerted for the new David Beckham Bodywear collection for the Swedish high-street giant. From pants and vests, to long-sleeved loungewear T-shirts, the collection promises comfort, sexiness and in-home style!

5- Baggy and extra baggy:

It was a curious admission this season, given that the clothes were so out in the open with  signature combinations of extreme luxury and über slouch. Make like Haider Ackermann and 3.1 Phillip Lim (picture up) go baggy all the way! Baggy trousers with gathered cuffs paired with a blazer piped pajama-like in ice blue.

6- Home suite home:

Sometimes you don’t need to be dressed-up to go out, you could be, or maybe you are the kind whose dressed up anyways! Issey Miyake and Common (picture up) updated their lines from a more relaxed style to something more contemporary.  Find comfort in their suits this season, and follow the same inspiration: elegant, masculine and a little bit of slouch. Get the coded!

But those tips are not set in stone, and partial nudity around your own home is not only acceptable but somehow mandatory; so you can always wear an unbuttoned shirt, oversized suite pants, tank tops or just your favorite pair of boxers without worries, but we strongly recommend not to step outside without any pants on!
